Better regulation

Initiated and founded by Coert van Hasselt, The Foundation Better Regulation an initiative with representatives of the private public and academic sector, advocates better regulation through stakeholder participation. In the publication” towards better regulation” the criteria for such consultation are formulated.

Members of the foundation strongly believe that stakeholder consultation is one of the big challenges for Dutch practice. The foundation makes efforts to distinguish and weight evidence, arguments and persuasion as factual conclusions are not easily separable from considerations having to do with the plausibility of the opponent’s assumptions and his selection of the evidence or choice of methodology.
